The Industrial Revolution, which began in the UK in the 18th century gave wings to the agrarian
and handicraft economies which rapidly shifted towards an industrial and machine-manufacturing
dominated world. While this transformation brought about a rapid socio-economic transformation,
it quickly altered and shifted the focus of a common man towards personal growth rather than
developing a lookout towards a sustainable future. This societal organization, or rather, lack of it
continues today and has produced several effects that continue to ripple through our political,
ecological and cultural spheres.

The three R’s of Reduce, Reuse and Recycle are the guiding principles of our

At GDB, we work in close consultation with community organisations, local authorities, housing associations, manufacturers, industries, retailers businesses and many others to collect leftover, reusable paint. This paint is then transported to our facilities, around the globe and treated appropriately.

Circular economy is an economic model that maximizes the utility of materials that come from nature
It is vastly different from the currently followed linear model where the society is extracting raw materials,
transforming them, selling and using them and then throwing them away.
At GDB, we passionately believe in changing things for the better and
follow the circular economy where the non-biodegradable materials are used,
reused, recycled and remade in order to reduce the
Circular Economy is an economic model which maximizes the use of the materials
extracted from nature. Each non-biodegradable material is used, reused, recycled
and remade in order to reduce the negative impact on the environment. In contrast,
countries mostly practice Linear Economy. In a Linear Economy
a simple path is followed by the products: extract raw materials, transform,
sell, use and throw them away.
The resources we have with us are very limited. Every day, we consume in fossil fuels
the equivalent of 2,600 years of accumulation of oil. Also, the linear economic model
produces several tonnes of plastic. A study found that the amount of plastic produced
since 1950 was equal to USD 100 million (the annual turnover of google).
Waste production and resource depletion are too high to be sustainable in
the current Linear Model.
